Angel Ureña – Clinton’s spokesman – shared an update on X (formerly known as Twitter), reading: “He remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving.”
While Ureña’s statement did not elaborate on the 78-year-old former president’s condition, it’s reported that Clinton is expected to make a full recovery.
NBC News cited a source close to Clinton, who described the situation as “not urgent” and said the former president would be “fine.” According to the report, Clinton is awake and alert.
He was admitted to the hospital after developing a fever.
This marks the latest health concern for the Arkansas Democrat, who served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001.
Clinton has faced several health challenges in recent years, including a six-day hospitalization in California in 2021 due to a blood infection.
Clinton also has a history of heart problems. In 2004, at age 58, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery after extensive heart disease was detected, per BBC News.

Ten years later, he had a clogged artery opened following complaints of chest pains. After his second surgery, Clinton adopted a vegan diet, attributing the lifestyle change to saving his life.
“I might not be around if I hadn’t become a vegan. It’s great,” he told Politico in 2016.
Despite his health history, Clinton has remained active. He hit the campaign trail earlier this year, supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in her presidential bid. Last month, he released his latest book, Citizen: My Life After the White House.
The memoir offers a firsthand account of Mr. Clinton’s post-presidential years and key events of the 21st century.
Topics range from the 9/11 attacks and the Iraq War to the Haiti earthquake, the Great Recession, the January 6 insurrection, and the ongoing culture wars, per News.com.au.
The book also reflects on his support for Hillary Clinton during her political career and his perspective on her 2016 presidential campaign.

“He recounts his support for Hillary Clinton during her time as Senator, Secretary of State, and presidential candidate, and shares the frustration and pain of the 2016 election,” reads the memoir’s description.
Last month, in an interview with MSNBC, Clinton commented on Kamala Harris’s loss in the presidential election to Donald Trump.
“I can’t say I was surprised,” he said. “I had the feeling all along that at the end this thing might break one way or the other, and all the so-called swing states would vote together.”
